School RulesAfter building up a presence on eBay over the last few years, it was time to branch out and bring more and more books to customers old and new. With sales all over the world old Mr Bibs is experienced in all aspects of getting your book to you, right first time, although sometimes he leaves odd things inside them. Be warned. Why Bibs Books is differentThere are lots and lots of book selling websites. Mr Bibs aims to be a bit more fun, a bit more unusual, and perhaps a bit more interesting. Have a look in the Library, for example, where you will find some writings about various aspects of childrens literature, or have a bash at the Detention questions, which are yer actual O-Level questions and might make you think a bit. You can even win a prize for completing the Exam question correctly! Many people collect childrens books, and that means there is a market for collectible copies of course. Often that can lead to high prices and obsessive interest in whether the book has that typo on page four. Mr Bibs doesn't shy away from that world, but does feel that there are lots of people for whom reading is simply a bit of fun. If you just want to pick up a copy of that old book you've forgotten about, or re-read a lost classic, then we have good solid and inexpensive copies to suit. What you see is what you getAll the book pictures you see in the School shop are the actual book for sale. Too many book selling sites either have no pictures at all, or use generic "stock shots". That gives you little or no information as to the book you are actually buying. Mr Bibs is a bit of a perfectionist, so he insists that all pictures show what you will receive in that magic parcel. That's better for you, better for Mr Bibs, and probably will help save the planet too. Mr Bibs also believes you need to see inside the book, just like your bookshop in town. So where possible, all the books have a "sneak-a-peek" feature - you can see if you have read it before, or see if the writing style is interesting, before you buy the book. It's a great feature and one Mr Bibs' customers love! What if it all goes wrong?Bibs Books offers you a cast iron guarantee, so you can buy with confidence. If any book fails to meet your satisfaction in any way at all then we'll refund it, no questions asked, as long as you return it within 30 days of receiving it and importantly, it's in the same condition as was described to you. We'll even pay your postage to return it, if you like. We leave that one to your conscience. Yes, that does mean you can say you didn't like it and chuck it back. And no, we don't get taken for a ride because we trust and like our customers. Postage and packingMr Bibs is easily confused, and so he doesn't like complex postage and packing rules. So here, it's an easy fixed price. If you buy one book in the UK, it will cost £2.25 postage and packing, full stop. That just about keeps Mr Bibs in snuff. If you buy more, then he's happy to forego another packet of Old Wheezer and pass the discount on, so each additional book is just 50p extra in p&p. Simple. Just how Mr Bibs likes it. If you're from the Colonies, or Europe, then you get slightly different rates, but the concept is the same. Stick something in the basket and you'll see. In the UK, books are sent first class. Anything outside the UK goes Airmail, so you'll always get your books quickly. So go, stop reading the rules and explore the school. Fun awaits! |
